The Justamere Foundation supports Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology

The Justamere Foundation is honored to be part of Task Force Movement

Task Force Movement (https://taskforcemovement.org/) is a White House initiative to create clear and affordable career pathways for transitioning service members and veterans in the civilian trucking workforce.

On August 2, 2022, Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg announced that community colleges across the country, including Lehigh Carbon CC, will be part of a $3.1 Million program to train and certify veterans to use their military experience in the civilian sector as truck drivers. The shortage of drivers is one of the key causes of the disruption in our supply chain. Veterans, who may have already been trained to drive trucks in the military, can now use that experience to acquire the required civilian certifications with a 100% scholarship. This program will greatly bridge that gap and is a strong step towards addressing the greater shortage in the industry.

The Justamere Foundation has been providing CDL Scholarships to local community colleges. This grant will help that initiative and allow us to redirect our grant money to other areas of the program.

Thank you, Secretary Buttigieg and Congressman Patrick Murphy for your tireless work for our Vets and your service to our country.
